In the foodie series titled “Home:Cooked”, the Tangerine Takeaway delves into their diaspora experience, exploring the heartfelt and warm concept of home. While raising a question, “Does home reside in a physical place, or is it an imaginary comfort?”
The group was heavily inspired by their own experiences of living away from their hometown, each holding on to their own purpose and goals. However, despite the differences, we all agreed that food is the one medium that aids the heavy feelings of homesickness. And through the series “Home:Cooked” each of the Tangerine Takeaway represents a food of their hometown that they enjoy the most and shared the recipe for the readers to try.
This project is a collaboration between the Tangerine Takeaway: Alice Cai, Angela Lee, Astrid Chung, Benedetta Scollo and Qonitha Audy.
